About the role

Branch Location: 320 March Road, Gateway Busine, Kanata


In this role, you will be responsible for developing and retaining relationships primarily with International and new to Canada customers and prospects, through active management of relationship, portfolios and ensuring solutions continually meet customer's needs.


The International Relationship Manager is also responsible for attracting new customers by understanding their financial needs and delivering superior standards of service quality.

The key to success in this role is having the industry and International expertise and business acumen to deliver in accordance with HSBC's values.


Responsibilities:


  • Build, retain, grow and develop strong and loyal relationships with international and newly immigrated clients pre and post arrival in Canada;
  • Generate and contribute to the growth of Branch business by delivering and responding positively on set individual and team's goals while delivering positive customer experience
  • Develop and retain relationships with existing international and newly immigrated customers through the first year of the customer's settlement by actively managing portfolios and ensuring solutions continually meet customer's needs as well as exceeding customer expectations in terms of speed, efficiency and professionalism.
  • Attract new customers by understanding their local and international financial needs and promoting the products and services which are right for the customer.
  • Liaise with the Business Development teams, Settlement Partners, and Newcomer Centres to attract new clients.
  • Maintain HSBC regulatory standards.
  • Have the expertise to act as a Brand Ambassador for HSBC Bank Canada, delivering exceptional customer experiences by having an understanding of the Canadian immigrant journey in order to provide advice and recommendations to international and immigrant customers
  • Solicitation of customer referrals and promotion of products and service offerings across multiple distribution channels
  • Lead the identification of opportunities for wealth and credit reviews to optimize portfolio performance and meet the needs of the customer
  • Help educate customers on alternate ways to bank
  • Maintain operational integrity in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards in compliance
  • Promotes and contributes to teambased approach in completing tasks and meeting internal and external customer needs
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
  • Effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.
  • Ensure compliance of both general and antimoney laundering and antiterrorist financing (AML/ATF) compliance controls as well as operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Exceeds expectations in terms of speed, certainty and efficiency of response
Requirements

  • Possess keen interest and stay current with the financial market and immigrant economy
  • Take pride in customer satisfaction and advising customers what's best to meet their financial ambitions.
  • Sound knowledge of digital / online banking and sponsoring digital engagement for customers.
  • Experience with Canadian immigration trends, settling in Canada and community engagement is an asset.
  • Have a passion for continuously delivering superior customer experience.
  • Pride yourself on consistently delivering personalized, friendly & efficient service at all times.
  • Proven ability to sell and meet set sales / performance targets
  • Welldeveloped sales orientation, business development and portfolio management skills
  • Understands / speaks second language is an asset.
  • 23 years of experience in a customer facing sales role in the banking industry
  • Knowledgeable about market conditions affecting customer portfolios
  • Welldeveloped technical skills in wealth management and credit lend
