Manager, Data & Analytics Services:

We're seeking a motivated and energetic proven Data Science professional to join our progressive Information Technology team.


Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will lead the Data & Analytics team, develop data enabled strategies to support the corporate business plan, and oversee the City's GIS program.


You will work with the Information Technology Management team to assess future direction of corporate data, open data, data analytics, and enterprise systems.

You have the knowledge and ability to manage risk and scope to deliver the objectives of your project plans and budgets successfully.

You will provide best practices for data management, data provisioning, data quality, integration, classifications for new and existing data products, and work closely with City departments to provide guidance and data expertise for programs related to data and analytics assets.

You are a leader with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a positive and forward-looking manner.


You have a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline along with several years of experience in the planning and delivery of cross functional data projects.

A graduate degree in Data Science would be an advantage.

Your comprehensive knowledge of enterprise systems life cycle, networks, web development, quality assurance, asset management, and strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure your success.

Experience in data management, metadata, analytics, reporting, integrations, Geo-spatial data & tools and Visualization tools, ArcGIS, FME, SQL, Mongo DB, Python, and Agile methodologies would be assets.

During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).
