Duties:

Responsible for the overall daytoday cleaning and security of the physical plant including but not limited to, floor, entrances, surfaces, walls, furniture and fixtures, in addition to the removal of soiled linen and refuse to ensure the continued safe and sanitary operation of the building, equipment and grounds.
Provide shift coverage on shortnotice, as circumstances require.
Adheres to all policies and procedures.
Supports and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Deep River and District Hospital.
Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.

Qualifications:

Housekeeping and infection control training/certificate preferred.
Related experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
Related experience in a Long Term Care Setting preferred.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and coordinate tasks and duties with team members.
Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.) required.
Computer literacy required.
Exceptional Attendance required.
Must agree to adhere to DRDH standards of behaviour.
