Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for material flow and availability.

Reporting to the plant supervisor, the Material Handler works with the receiver and ensures materials are put away and labeled in an organized and clean fashion.

Timely retrieval of materials for production is a vital part of the job.

Primary Tasks
Sign for shipments from freight companies

Unload trucks with forklift

Put away received product into inventory or job allocated bins

Maintain Inventory levels by:
- administering requisitions from staff
- periodic inventory checks to maintain minimum levels
- issuing materials to jobs

Keeping the materials clean neat and organized

Drawing materials for machine operators

Lay-up of Materials

Wrapping of finished goods for shipping

Secondary Tasks
Forklift Operation

Shipping

Deliveries - Must have a valid drivers license

Salary:
From $18.00 per hour
