Project DescriptionWe are a US-based e-commerce and operations company looking for an experienced Automation Workflow Designer to help us design and implement reliable, reusable automation workflows.
This is a project-based engagement (1–3 months) focused on building durable automation solutions that eliminate manual operational tasks.We are looking for someone who thinks in systems and flows first, not someone who simply connects tools.

Project Goal
Design and implement automation workflows using:
- API-based integrations (preferred)
- Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud)
- Other appropriate cloud-native solutions when necessary
Our goal is to build automation that:
- Is reliable
- Handles edge cases
- Includes proper error handling
- Is documented clearly
- Can be reused and maintained internally
Example Use Cases
Workflows may include tasks such as:
- Pulling marketplace or accounting data via API
- Pulling inventory from systems and sync with Google Sheets
- Building flows that connect inventory systems with picking, packing, and warehouse shipment processes.
- Transforming and normalizing CSV/JSON data
- Updating structured Google Sheets
- Automating reconciliation processes
- Connecting systems like e-commerce platforms, accounting software, inventory software, shipping platform, and internal spreadsheets

Scope of Work
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing existing manual workflows
- Designing a clear automation flow (logic diagram or written flow)
- Implementing automation using API-first methods
- Building proper error handling and retry logic
- Testing thoroughly
Delivering documentation including:
o What the automation does
o Inputs and outputs
o Failure scenarios
o How to maintain or modify the flow
- Providing a handoff walkthrough
What We Are NOT Looking For
- Basic Zapier-only automations
- UI-click automation as a first solution
- "Build first, think later" implementations
- Black-box solutions without documentation

Ideal Candidate
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud)
- Strong experience with REST APIs and JSON
- Comfortable designing workflows before implementation
- Experienced in handling edge cases and failure scenarios
- Able to explain technical logic clearly
- Familiar with e-commerce or accounting systems (a plus)

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
