How you will contribute as part of the Slaman's team:

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Sales Team (3 persons) has day-to-day responsibility for supporting customers and fulfilling sales orders accurately and in a timely manner.

The Sales Account Supervisor is responsible for all sales activities on assigned accounts in a business to business sales environment.

The role will develop new business, maintain current business, and aid in future growth, while following up with customers and maintaining relationships.

The Sales Account Supervisor has responsibility for the day to day activities of the sales department including accuracy of sales orders, supporting and directing tasks of the sales team members, department reporting, and other tasks as they arise.

Major Responsibilities:

Oversee sales processes and handle client inquiries and orders
Prioritize customer orders to meet the timeline needs of perishable products (cut flowers)
Identify areas for improvement and come up with new sales strategies by reviewing sales data, sales goals, production availability and client feedback
Responsible for departmental reporting and forecasting to inform management
Administrative duties including record keeping, invoice completion, and account reporting
Communicate well with other team members and supervisors
Responsible for training new sales staff as needed
Willingness to take on new tasks as they arise

What will you need to succeed:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications)

No requirements but prior training or education is always an asset.

Experience

Mid-level - 3-5 years prior experience an asset

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

Working ability with QuickBooks for invoicing
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and team members.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership to meet deliverables and deadlines working independently or as a team.
Ability to multi task and be willing to adapt to priorities and tasks changing on short notice.

Permanent after 3-month probation period

Hours of work:
Approximately 40 hrs/week

Schedule:
Set schedule

Monday to Friday

with requirement to work some Saturdays, long weekends and extra hours during peak sales times or as required due to agriculture production.

Work Conditions:

Cold environment - ready to ship product is stored and packed in a cooler with temperatures ranging from 2-6 degrees Celsius; Warm environment - Warehouse and Production Greenhouse may range in temperature throughout the seasons degrees Celsius.

In-person, Fairfield site

Salary Range:
$ per hour; prior experience and skill set considered when setting salary

Reports to:
Operations Manager
