Rubicon Organics' mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth and today we are doing just that out of our state-of-the art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C.

The Cultivation Team Lead is responsible for helping Supervisors to oversee assigned compartment and associated activities to ensure tasks are carried out according to established SOPs.

This role is critical to maintaining a high quality, super-premium product through close monitoring of the plants throughout the lifecycle, supporting IPM (scouting/pest management) and fertigation activities, and communicating relevant findings to leadership.

This role reports directly to the Cultivation Labour Manager.?

RESPONSIBILITIES?

Assist Supervisors in ensuring employees are compliant with all facility standard operating procedures including gowning, sanitation, workplace safety, confidentiality, and inventory traceability.?
Perform tasks related to the cultivation of cannabis.
Assist Supervisors in training and oversight of others performing these tasks.
Work with the Cultivation Supervisors on the following:?
Defoliation events?
Pruning, topping, and bending events?
Harvests?
Sanitation, waste disposal, and room turn around.?
Work with team members on scouting, pest monitoring, foliar and preventative sprays.
Assist Supervisors in managing all employee activities listed above.?
Monitor plant health daily; complete associated forms and checklists, identify and communicate all observations and concerns to the Greenhouse Manager.?
Ensure compliance with inventory tracking of plants from clone through to harvest using the seedtosale software; conduct monthly inventory audits to ensure full traceability.?
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.?
Recommend process improvements to Greenhouse Manager to increase productivity while maintaining a highquality product.?
Monitor and support employee safety, morale and productivity.??
Report any employee issues or safety concerns to the Greenhouse Manager?
Perform other duties as assigned.?

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.?
Ability to stand, sit, and kneel for extended periods.?
Lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs.?
Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic and challenging environment.?
Ability to communicate in spoken Spanish an asset
Possession of Health Canada security clearance, or ability to get clearance, an asset and will be required for this role
Pesticide Applicators certificate is an asset and will be required in this role
