- Perform obs./gyn, abdomen, vascular, small parts and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures
- Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
- Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
- Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
- Perform cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned as per departmental needs Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent preferred. Consideration for hire may also be given to applicants currently enrolled in an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program – as a condition of hire the Ultrasound program must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire
- Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
- Registered with Sonography Canada with CRGS designation
- Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) (Preferred)
- Registered with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- 1 year recent related experience
- Experience in the following modalities: vascular, neurosonography and fetal assessment preferred
- Demonstrated maintenance of CME credits
- Fulfill certification requirements and maintain credentials as required by the department i.e. Nuchal Translucency
- Preference will be given to applicants who have clinical skill sets in Ultrasound specialties offered at Sinai Health
- Excellent hand eye co-ordination
- Ability to train in a variety of ultrasound related examinations, procedures, equipment
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated attributes that foster a positive working environment
