Position Summary:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overseeing of the day shift staff and other processes/personnel to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
  • Assist in providing training to current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments to solve daytoday issues and reach short
- and long-term performance goals

  • Excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Builds and maintains relationships with employees.
  • Develops individuals and serves as a role model and resource to them.
  • Helps coordinate the daytoday activities (schedules, workloads, timelines).
  • Supports Process Safety Management (PSM) Standards.
  • Motivates individuals to achieve High Performance Distribution metrics.
  • Monitor the time and attendance system and make necessary adjustments as appropriate.
  • Assists in conducting preshift meetings to communicate information.
  • Maintain a safety culture; ensure staff are properly trained and adhere to the policies outlined in the Operations Safety handbook, and monitor warehouse safety according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Work as a backup to the Night Shift Lead Hand as per the need of the business.
  • Assist other departments as required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 35 years of previous Lead hand experience preferably in a Distribution setting is required
  • Experience working in an effective, results focused team environment
  • Excellent organization skills and time management in dealing with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Problem solving abilities that require use of ingenuity and innovation
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience and competency using spreadsheets. Experience on Google apps will be an asset.
  • Written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problemsolving capabilities.
  • Must be selfdirected with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Professional, mature demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Must have knowledge of radio frequency guns.
