Job Summary

Responsibilities

Operate handheld spray guns to spray paint or coat large items with protective or decorative coatings.
Select appropriate paint
Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.
Perform assembly of painted parts with hand tools.
Mark, record and report defects.
Other task and duties as required by supervisor

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Post-Secondary diploma in a related field preferred.
3 years of experience as a Painter.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Manual dexterity with small tools and attentive to details to perform precision work
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Critical eye for identifying defects.
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment
