The Operations Manager is responsible for all field operations logistics and resource management of Skwlāx Resource Management As an ideal candidate you have proven depth and experience in various aspects and markets of Civil Construction and are exceptional at building and leading teams.Your industry knowledge communication and team leadership skills are second to none
You will work closely with the General Manager management team as well as all levels of field operations staff employees to ensure the day-to-day success of Skwlāx Resource Management.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all field operations to achieve timely profitable completion projects • Maintain promote culture that promotes safety quality environmental compliance for all staff employees subcontracts clients while following policies procedures regulations • Oversee staff project teams by carrying out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing hiring training employees subcontractors planning assigning directing work providing feedback rewarding disciplining employees addressing complaints resolving problems • Oversee reporting requirements internally externally • Manage maximize use of company resources support effectively deliver projects on time budget • Support strong relationship development local Indigenous groups communities IndustryRequirements
Qualifications Preferred engineering degree MBA graduate applicable technical business program Equivalent combination education related work experience Masterful organizational communication leadership skills demonstrated previous professional success Leadership management conflict resolution training considered asset Outstanding communication people skills Valid driver's license Experience Minimum years construction industrial mining forestry industries significant management supervisory experience Minimum years similar role Proven understanding estimating project management theories methodologies practices Proven understanding civil construction codes practices MMCD CCDC other industry standard contract models specifications Strong understanding developing maintaining operational project budgets schedules Proven ability build maintain relationships communities municipalities Indigenous groups Industry Skills Knowledge Comprehensive understanding project contract documentation contracts drawings specifications subcontracts Excellent written verbal listening organization abilities attention detail develop working relationships inside outside organizations Significant knowledge multiple operational functions principles production employee management Strong First Nations culture history community developmentJob description
