    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    Direct patient care services for cardiac surgery and cardiovascular intensive care (CVICU).Drug distribution services including medication and parenteral nutrition verification.Drug information and education/research activities. Precepting and teaching of pharmacy residents, staff, and students.

    Description:

    As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

    Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous experience on a multi-disciplinary team.Hospital residency. Previous research, project management and committee experience.Previous experience with training and precepting. Ability to use evidence-based medicine in direct patient care.Motivated and self-directed for on-going continuing competence.Demonstrates good time management.Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP).
