General Summary
Automotive Corporate Shop Technician (12 Months Contract)
As an Automotive Corporate Shop Technician at Kia Canada, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Kia vehicles to meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Vehicle Diagnosis: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in Kia vehicles.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform a wide range of mechanical repairs, including electrical system troubleshooting, Mechanical Repair, vehicle Maintenance, Pre Delivery Inspections.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology, tools, and techniques to effectively repair and maintain Kia vehicles.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work is performed to Kia's exacting standards, complying with safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Documentation: Accurately record all repair and maintenance work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with internal customers professionally and courteously, explaining repairs, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and team members to solve complex technical issues and maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
- Parts Management: Assist in managing and maintaining an inventory of automotive parts and tools necessary for the repair and maintenance of Kia vehicles.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and government regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirement
- Completion of a recognized automotive technician program.
- Automotive Service Technician Certification 310s (Red Seal certification preferred).
- Minimum of [5] years of experience as an automotive technician, with experience working on Kia vehicles or OEM level being a strong asset.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $82,501
