The Lot Attendant is responsible for daily inspections on our vehicles after they have completed the recon process in addition to supporting Lot manager and the Lot team in greeting customers, parking and delivering customer vehicles, cleaning vehicles as necessary, and providing general lot supervision throughout the normal course of business.
Schedule:
Part-Time (weekday afternoon/evenings); 16-20 hours/week
Wage:
$16.00 per hour
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accept new vehicle shipments from carriers and ensures they are clear of damage
- Manage the flow of traffic for the dealership lots, new and used car sales, and the general service area
- Move vehicles to the appropriate lot sector when parked in incorrect department stalls
- Perform general wash and vacuums to stationary new vehicle inventory
- General cleanup of vehicles as requested
- Ensure the front line of vehicles on Lot, showroom and showcase display area are cleaned and organized as instructed by Pre-Owned Manager
- Hang window stickers on inventory immediately after being stocked in
- Clean and move vehicles in and out of the Showroom when necessary
- Maintain lot order, even in designated customer parking areas
- Perform general wash and vacuuming to stationary used vehicle inventory
- Ensure all washes, clean ups and details maintain the highest level of quality control
- Address all client (internal and external) quality control concerns in a timely fashion
- Ensure that preowned vehicles awaiting reconditioning are organized and accessible for the Service department
- Communicates effectively with Department Managers to ensure all lot/detail duties are completed in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Lot/Valet Attendant is preferred but not required
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to work outdoors and stand on your feet for extended periods of time
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
