About the role


We are seeking to recruit a senior team member to work directly with the Head of People to design and lead the L&D effort across our North America operations, which we are aiming to grow to a Headcount of 180 during the financial year 23/24 (Financial Year End is 31 March 2024).


The global People Team comprises 19 colleagues and is led by the Head of People, who is based in London, UK.


This person will be working in our Learning & Development team in support of building out or internal learning and development offerings, which has contributed to our company's ongoing success in the United States, Canada, and beyond.


This person will be a contributing member of Steer's North American/International Business Delivery Group, which is comprised of finance, human resources, marketing, legal, L&D, recruitment, facilities, and IT experts.

In combination, these disciplines provide us with the breadth and depth to deliver integrated and innovative solutions to the organization.


The L&D Associate will:

  • Work with the Head of People and regional Leadership to understand learning needs and priorities.
  • Devise and implement businessspecific learning solutions to deliver desired capability improvements.
  • Using their own knowledge and skills, develop content and structure delivery to support Management and Leadership skills development.

  • Facilitate workshops among senior and/or highly analytical professional delegates.
  • Work closely with the Digital L&D BP to support their content and delivery appropriately.
  • Lead on relevant projects to improve the L&D offering and profile within the business.
  • Support other members of the wider People team as needed, particularly on relevant project work.


The L&D Associate will work in a demanding and enjoyable environment and provide wider support to our business in the design and implementation of
classroom trainings for a wide range of Steer's internal initiatives.


Work Environment


All Steer employees seeking a full-time opportunity are encouraged to spend 60% of their time either in office or on-site with clients.

An employee's typical work week consists of 37.5 hours. Hours, expectations, and exemption status will be adjusted for any applicant seeking a part-time opportunity.


Compensation
The salary range for Vancouver office applicants are
$110,000 to $
120,000 CAD.

In addition to base salary, all employees will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus. Please review the benefits section for more information on total reward.

Steer reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional compensation.


Requirements:


  • Significant previous experience in a relevant position, successfully devising and delivering Leadership and Management development initiatives.
  • Able to successfully bring delegates on learning journey.
  • Highly capable in content design.
  • Strong IT Skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Degreelevel education or professional accreditation [or equivalent] in the field of L&D, or other relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a professional services industry.
