REPORTS TO:
Payroll Manager


LOCATION:
Burnaby Head Office


We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Finance Team Our Payroll Specialist will champion the administration of payroll and benefits to all entities at Agrifoods International Cooperative.

You will also act as the system administrator for Avanti Payroll System for the organization.

Experience_

  • You have 4 years of experience with the Canadian Payroll and Accounting environment including Union
  • You have at least 3 years of HRIS experience with complex systems in complex organizations
  • You have experience leading implementations of Payroll & HR Systems
  • You have a degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset

Things you will do

  • Champion the Payroll System by maintaining organizational data, assisting with system changes and more
  • Conquer system issues and prepare end users with any documentation or training materials as needed
  • Complete regular payroll activities for our French and head office payroll and back up our Payroll Administrator
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll and benefits and follow up with discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and reports
  • Assist in various yearend and monthend reporting and any future implementations of benefits, systems, and payrollrelated projects.

OTHER

  • You might need to work extra hours during monthend, yearend, and during implementations.
