Program Overview
Product Distribution Centre (PDC) operates a fully cost-recoverable program that is a Health Canada licensed complete supply chain solution.

Our approach includes program-specific supply strategy consulting, procurement of unique program goods, inventory management, account management and customer service support, and distribution of goods.

PDC works with government, public sector, publicly funded agencies, and their end users.

The program supplies medical devices, pharmaceutical drugs, feeding supplies and equipment, personal care products, janitorial products, and personal protective equipment.


Job Overview


The Purchasing and Supply Chain Supervisor leads and supervises the Purchasing Buyers in the acquisition of approximately $35 million goods annually and administers the supply chain process of a wide variety of contracted goods on behalf of clients for inventory management and Province-wide distribution.

The Purchasing and Supply Chain Supervisor is a key role in connecting procurement and contract management practices with PDC supply chain operational functions.

The position is responsible for administering Health Canada Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure regulatory compliance as related to the acquisition and recall process of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation and a minimum of 2 years' supervision experience (gained within the last 5 years).
  • 2 years minimum recent work experience (gained within the last 5 years) in a logistics, supply chain, warehouse or inventory management environment. 1 year minimum recent experiences (gained within the last 5 years) using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems e.g. SAP.

Preferences:


  • Experience supervising in a unionized environment.
  • Certification in an accredited Supply Chain Management Program such as SCMA or APICS.
  • Experience in a procurement, supply chain purchasing or buyer role.
  • Experience in contract administration.
  • Experience in project management principles and practices.
  • 1 year minimum experience using SAP.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel.

The position headquarters will be Coquitlam.
