    The Role

    As an AZ Driver at Recycling Rewards, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and transportation operations.

    Operating commercial vehicles, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers or designated locations.

    This role requires a high level of professionalism, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Departmental Duties


    • Ensure all work areas such as product loading areas, collection bin sites and trailer sites are maintained, cleaned and in operational condition.
    • Work in collaboration with collection supervisors for maintenance of bins and replacements as and when required.
    • Ensure all product picked from the assigned location and deliver to Talize store or storage yard. and pickups are scheduled to Talize stores as and when needed.
    • Assist the administration team in collecting company supplies from vendors as required.
    • Responsible to report any incidents or accidents to immediate supervisor or manager for further action.
    • Ensure all company protocols, transportation by laws is followed for operation of commercial trucks and are in compliance with the Ministry of Transportation.
    • Responsible for the maintenance of the vehicles and make sure that the vehicle is in operational condition before the start and end of each shift.
    • Maintain good communication with the third-party vendors and customers ensuring effective customer service.
    • Demonstrate positive attitude towards fellow workers, donors, and customers on a regular basis.
    • Must be able to Haul a long distance.
    • Must be flexible to drive 20 feet and 5 tons trucks on various occasion when there is no tractor/trailer work available.
    • Maintaining an accurate record of all pick-ups and drop-offs, , mileage covered, fuel consumption, and toll fees
    • While driving 20 feet or 5 ton truck , ensuring proper loading and offloading at various location , and enter the poundage information in to Talize software.
    Health and Safety


    Vehicle Inspection:

    • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle to ensure that it is in proper working condition.
    • Identify and report any defects, malfunctions, or maintenance issues promptly.

    Adherence to Traffic Laws and Regulations:

    • Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of oneself, other road users, and the cargo being transported.
    • Stay informed about and comply with any changes in transportation regulations.

    Cargo Securing:

    • Properly secure cargo to prevent shifting or falling during transit, minimizing the risk of accidents or injuries.
    • Follow best practices for loading and unloading to maintain a balanced and stable load.

    Fatigue Management:

    • Adhere to prescribed hours of service regulations to prevent driver fatigue.
    • Take appropriate breaks and rest periods to ensure alertness while driving.

    Emergency Procedures:

    • Familiarize oneself with emergency procedures, including the location and use of safety equipment, emergency exits, and communication devices.
    • Be prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency, such as accidents or breakdowns.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as reflective vests and safety boots, during loading/unloading activities or when required by company policies.

    Communication:

    • Maintain effective communication with dispatch, fellow drivers, and other relevant parties.
    • Report any incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities.

    Health and Wellness:

    • Prioritize personal health and wellness to ensure fitness for duty.
    • Report any medical conditions or medications that may impact driving safety.

    Incident Reporting:

    • Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to the appropriate supervisors or safety officers.
    • Provide accurate and timely information for incident investigations.

    Training and Professional Development:

    • Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development programs.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging safety technologies.

    Environmental Responsibility:

    • Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.

    Education, Experience and Requirements


    • Valid AZ driver's license.
    • A clean driving records.
    • Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
    • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
    • The ability to concentrate for extended periods.
    • The ability to utilize GPS devices and road maps.
    • Strong driving skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills.

    Physical Requirements and work environment:

    • Ability to drive for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Physically alert while driving vehicle.
