***: The role is responsible for providing support to the VP, Sales Enablement. The primary focus of this role is supporting the growth of our sales channels with a quality control plan that proactively identifies trends or risks and support them with remediating solutions. With data driven insights, as well as coordinating and implementing initiatives to monitor potential risks, this role will be responsible for ongoing testing, documenting, and reporting on key risk indicators.


MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Implement initiatives and activities to support the achievement of strategy plans with each sales channel under the guidance of the VP, Sales Enablement
  • Reporting an independent point of view of the "Operational Risk Profile", and escalate issues as required.
  • Support the 1st line risk owners and delegates with change risk assessment responses i.e. actions required to manage evolving risk profile, preventing OR degradation as part of the change
  • Implement, develop, and enhance onboarding and ongoing monitoring programs of our referral partners and provide expert operational risk and control advice to senior business leaders through attendance on senior management committees and meetings with authority to challenge and escalate appropriately.
  • Challenging the business of their understanding of their risks, status and adequacy of controls, inclusive of proactive risk management
  • Lead the internal control testing team and provide assurance on operating and design effectiveness.
  • Lead the execution of operational risk framework tools RCSA, Product RCSAs, Entity RCSA, KRIs, OREs, Risk Acceptances, etc.
  • Build and Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytics needs for all channels of business, to support sales growth efforts.
  • Work with the Manager, National Sales Analytics to build and leverage relationships at all levels of the referral partners and assisting the BDMs & RVPs to navigate the landscape of any given referral partner.
  • Report regularly to VP, Sales Enablement identified partner monitoring metrics
  • Leverage data and analytics to gain a deep understanding of business risks, uncover trends, and help drive critical business decisionmaking based on various data modeling and 1st party data.
  • Actively participate in interdepartmental meetings to bring sales insight as well as take away pertinent information to be communicated to the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications and Technical Expertise:


  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience within the Canadian financial industry would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of mortgages, mortgage operations, sales cycles; knowledge of investment concepts and strategies is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of bank structures an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Effective operational risk profile knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business metrics management forecasting, measurements against partnership sales goals, targets, and ratios
