About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional customer service and technical skills.

The Project Coordinator position will provide support to the Operations Team & GHMS' projects by ensuring that key project timelines are met while coordinating project related tasks.

The position will require working collaboratively with several internal/external customers and vendors. The position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment


Duties include:

  • Works in compliance with all health and safety and environmental legislation including, but not limited to, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Oakville Hydro Corporation's Policies and Procedures
  • It is the responsibility of the employee to obtain applicable health and safety information from the Company's intranet site or their supervisor
  • Commissioning, testing, and programming of onsite metering installations including electricity, water and thermal meters
  • Perform Measurement Canada S-E04 inspections
  • Create installation drawings, scope of work and as built drawings in AutoCAD
  • Installation, termination and testing of meter communication wiring
  • Perform field visits and coordinate daily maintenance work with electrical contractors & technicians including troubleshooting customer calls for nonconforming meters
  • Coordinate's material preparation and delivery for projects including building assessments to prepare quotes and Bill of Materials
  • Demonstrating effective communication and customer relationship skills with Property Managers, site personnel, and end customers to complete field work assignments
  • Coordinates all daytoday Measurement Canada Meter sealing with vendors
  • Works collaboratively with Project Manager to coordinate the delivery of materials to/from:
  • Vendors for Measurement Canada Sealing
  • Electrical Contractors at various job sites
  • S-E04 and Commissioning Crews on job sites
  • Ensures that all Meter Inspection Certificates and Measurement Canada S-E04 Certificates are available for processing
  • Works with Project Manager to assist in the creation/execution of project plans
  • Coordinates field work, for internal and external contractor crews, with Project Manager and building landlord or property manager
  • Ensures that the tools, materials, and protective equipment provided by the Company are maintained in good condition
  • Ensures quality and accuracy of the data and information delivered to customers
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:


  • Postsecondary diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technician, or related disciple and or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years relevant field experience with an electrical and/or mechanical systems or equivalent experience
  • Valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's Licence with an excellent driving record travel is required throughout Southern Ontario
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work in high rise buildings, including those still under construction

Other Success Factors:


  • Demonstrate a high degree of technical competence and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or other Project Management tools
  • Highly organized with a high degree of attention to detail
