***Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communication, the Digital Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in the online presence for UHKF. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of digital strategy, advertising campaigns, social media content creation, and ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting. This includes being responsible for existing programs such as our online 50/50 lottery program in its entirety.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Lead the digital strategy in support of UHKF and its programs
  • Plan and create content for social media platforms.
  • Manage and optimize the UHKF's social media content calendar, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Capture and share compelling media assets at live events.
  • Foster the growth of social media literacy within the UHKF community by providing training, support, and staying updated on best practices.
  • Optimize the accuracy, design, and performance of content for UHKF's platforms.
  • Creation of new content, including videos, photos, and other interactive elements for social media.
  • Plan, Create and Execute social media and google ad campaigns for UHKF, including programs such as the 50/50 lottery program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Marketing & Communications of UHKF.

MONITORING AND REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of digital ad campaigns, including the 50/50 lottery program, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of social media engagement providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience with online lottery programs is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations is considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College/University education in a related field (marketing, communications, etc.). A combination of education and work experience would also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Data savvy; experience using CMS and CRM systems for data management, content creation and campaign deployment.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Mailchimp, SEO and other reporting and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated skills in the adobe creative suite.
  • Portfolio of experience in writing for social media.
  • Previous professional experience with social media content creation.
  • Three years of successful experience managing multiple social networks.
  • High level of creativity, excellent writing skills, and analytical ability.
  • Understanding of social network analytics and paid advertising platforms.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Three years of experience in creating, executing, monitoring and reporting on digital advertising campaigns.
  • Project management skills to complete projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Knowledge of how digital communications can effectively convey and advance the institutions' messages to various audiences.
  • Experience in web architecture, content strategy, writing, user testing, SEO, and analytics.
  • Handson experience with photography and videography.
  • Excellent organizational ability: capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fastpaced, and sometimes quickly changing, environment.
  • Ability to be selfdirected, but able to work as part of an effective team
