The City of Weyburn Water Treatment Plant provides the operation and management for a 5 MLD Surface Water _
Conventional Classified Level 4 Water Treatment Plant. This position reports directly to the Water Treatment Plant _
Superintendent and is an integral component of our Engineering Department providing good quality, safe water to _

- the citizens of Weyburn. _

Responsibilities:

Perform regular testing of the water to ensure that the quality and safety of the water is maintained;
Measure and calculate chemical feed rates;
Fill and maintain chemical feed system;
Perform tests and record test results required for day to day operations of the Water Treatment Plant;
Clean and maintain equipment and the Water Treatment Plant facility;
Maintain accurate records to ensure that regulation standards are being followed;
Maintenance of plants, reservoirs, booster station and intake for adherence to departmental procedures

and safety regulations; and

Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Possess postsecondary diploma in water and wastewater or environmental science, or similar field.
Possess a Class 1 Water Treatment Certification, actively working towards gaining Class 4 certification.
Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's license.
