PURPOSE OF JOB:


Responsibility for delivering all facets of recruiting success across all stores, through the development of local recruiting plans, and ensuring the hiring of the best possible talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Post openings in position appropriate venues relevant to the business.
  • Maintain the posting boards at all stores once a week with up to date Human Resources information.

Administration & Record Keeping:


  • Perform reference checks and credits checks for specific cash sensitive positions prior to offer of employment.
  • Responsible for the setup of all suggestion boxes (both customer and employee) at all stores and weekly emptying and logging of same on excel spreadsheet by category for Owners and Manager, Human Resources timely response.
  • Attend weekly HR Department meeting with issues, concerns, suggestions for improvement, etc. based on role accountability/responsibility.

Training & Development

  • Assist in the development of a recruitment training workshop for all store managers on interviewing skills.
  • Participate in the creation of a Store/Department Managers' process manual with relevant forms and training at each store.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Post secondary education or relevant 4 years recruiting experience, preferably in a fastpaced retail environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and Dayforce HRM
  • Ability to maintain a professional and highly confidential demeanor in all situations.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with recruitment issues and basic human resources requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS:


  • Enrolled in the CHRP program and working towards certification/designation an asset.
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management
