Job summary
The Applications Engineer is a key member of the sales team responsible for developing proposals and supporting Sales Account Managers. Participate in customer RFQ review meetings prepare cell layout drawings liaise between mechanical engineering electrical engineering and assembly manufacturing groups provide assistance in estimating labor material costs obtain estimates of major material equipment costs required for proposal preparation write technical specifications perform technical follow-up during engineering procurement construction identify technical risks mitigate their effects prepare specifications estimate costs provide proactive customer design support work with internal external design technology functions create unique specifications applications meet specific project budgets timelines provided by Applications Manager Prepare draft budget quotation proposals review with Applications Supervisor Sales Manager Key Account Managers Attend escalation red flags directed by Applications Manager Recognize problems initiate action assist problem solving evaluate results Assist conflict resolution early stages Promote positive relations internal customers partners customers vendors distributors Liaise departments ensure timely delivery proposals execute internal procedures Liaise notify Applications Manager milestones cannot be met Attend appropriate meetings when required Opportunity Review Short Term Bookings Ensure Company ISO Standards followed Represent company various community business meetings promote company Complete duties projects assigned Expectation travel up to 30% time could be anticipated however may exceeded exceptional circumstances meet project needsResponsibilities
