The Manufacturing Training Manager is responsible for making Ross a great learning environment for all manufacturing participants, production teams and support teams; by fostering an educational culture, which pushes the organization forward.
The Training Manager stays up to date on the best practices related to Adult Education and brings added value to the organization by recommending creative and innovative ways to elevate the skills of all manufacturing employees.
As the Manufacturing Training Manager, you will manage the development, implementation and maintenance of the training program within Ross Video Manufacturing.
Your team will be responsible for both hard and soft skills training and includes the development and administration of the training system.

What the job is all about:
- Make sure there is full compliance and maintain knowledge of evolving legal frameworks and regulations, that address all safety aspects within the building relative to training, on and off the job.
- Ensure integration of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) principles and values into all curriculum developed and delivered
- Run the development of a comprehensive training plan for all relevant processes/equipment within Manufacturing based on documentation and processes defined by the Manufacturing Process team.
- Keeping up to date with new training practices and technologies, ensure the continued development and optimisation of Ross Video's training program.
- Garnering regular feedback on training performance from both management and trainees to ensure customers are happy and their demands are being met.
- Respond to training requests, ensuring any requests are acted on promptly and effectively.
- Ensure classroom, hands on and online training courses are maintained for appropriate onboarding.
- Create and maintain a scheduled training plan for all employees to ensure optimised onboarding, training maintenance and implementation of new processes.
- Using the learning management system, administer content, testing and sign off processes to validate that training is complete and records are maintained.
- Working closely with the Manufacturing Process team and Production Management, ensure training plans are up to date and training schedules are communicated/coordinated.
- Mentor team members including Manufacturing Training Specialists and Manufacturing Trainers
Who you are:
- Post-Secondary Education or appropriate experience
- Experience in a leadership role
- Experience creating process and/or training documentation
- Experience providing inperson training
- Training certification is a solid asset (CPTM, CIT, CLDP. etc.)
- Experienced in technical manufacturing operations an asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Able to manage a team of diverse individuals
- Selfstarter, quick learner and able to work with minimum supervision in meeting schedules and project deadlines
- Organized and very detail orientated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capable of following procedures and working logically
- Able to work on multiple projects
