$45,682-$57,112 per year (commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Position Summary


The
Clinical Research Study Assistant will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Clinical Research Manager and Clinical Research Coordinator and assist in clinical research related to Elhers Danlos Syndrome and Acute and Chronic pain.


Duties

  • Assisting with participant recruitment and completion of study procedures.
  • Coordinating study visits (e.g., scheduling of group psychosocial intervention sessions).
  • Coordinating activities amongst study personnel.
  • Assisting with the modification and maintenance of electronic and paper data management systems.
  • Assisting with submissions to Research Ethics Board.
  • 0ther related clinical research tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum); healthrelated preferred
  • Minimum (1) year's clinical research experience required: (e.g., study coordination; involvement with randomized control trial studies; database setup; data collection/management; questionnaire administration; data entry; etc.)
  • Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP guidelines, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR, and Health Canada TPD, as required
  • Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures, as required
  • Excellent problemsolving skills required
  • Previous experience using data management (e.g., Microsoft Office Access, Excel, REDCap)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization skills, and good computer skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in a healthcare setting an asset
