_The Position_
We currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Multi-Family Resident Building Manager 2-Person-Team with eye for detail to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Property Manager and Property Manager, the Resident Building Managers will focus primarily on the day-to-day operations of the building(s) to ensure an excellent living experience for the tenants.
- Interact with tenants and the Property Manager to discuss the building operation and address concerns and issues.
- Conduct daily inspections of common building areas and identify any required maintenance, including mechanical, security, garbage/recycling, landscaping, etc.
- Manage tenant and visitor parking and oversee building security systems.
- Ensure the building and common areas are cleaned and maintained.
- Perform minor building and suite maintenance and repairs and coordinate contractors/trades to perform more extensive maintenance work and emergency repairs.
- Scheduling and supervising tenant move in/move out activities, perform regular suite inspections, maintain records of suite repairs, coordinate and carry out work on suite turnovers, and ensuring vacant suites are ready for new tenants.
- Collecting and depositing rents and security deposits.
- Can meet the physical demands of the job (e.g., ability to lift 50 pounds, use standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.), climb a ladder, etc.).
- Work well with people and possess excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Prioritize tasks, interact with trades, handle conflicts and exercise sound judgement using their strong organization, planning, and diplomacy skills.
- Can work flexible hours, and be oncall for emergencies, as may be required.
- Have a personal vehicle available for usage as needed.
Qualifications & Experience_
- Minimum 5 years experience building management experience.
- Experience with maintaining building and mechanical systems.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to reallocate resources based on changing priorities and as emergencies arise.
- Strong knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act.
