As a Procurement Specialist your responsibilities will include:

  • Review, Negotiate and file agreements such as MSAs for SAAS and professional services contracts
Create PO's upon getting appropriate requisition approvals, and issue PO's, obtain PO confirmation and track PO status with the vendor

  • Assist with invoice and agreement discrepancy resolution with vendors and internal clients
  • Verify and modify requisitions to make sure tax code, delivery address, pricing and other conditions are in line with the Agreements and business requirements
  • Work with requesters to gather business requirements and obtain quotes from vendors
  • Provide assistance on sourcing activities, e.g. conduct market research and vendor due diligence for establishing sourcing strategy, execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.
  • Prepare, analyze and maintain reports and databases regarding procurementrelated activities and spend on goods and services
  • Assist and educate requisitioners with procurement processes and procedures
Take a proactive approach to duties and responsibilities, and provide suggestions for improvement to procurement process efficiency and effectiveness

  • Other duties as assigned and required

  • Post-Secondary education in a relative field of study or equivalent
  • 23 years of contract management experience in a procurement role in a centralized environment
  • Experience negotiating SaaS contracts is a must
  • Technical knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, directives, legal opinions, vendor responses to procurement requests and experience required
  • Knowledge of procurement contracts and related RFX documentations, including Negotiated RFPs and strategies, evaluation approaches and formats
  • Strong analytical, customer service, and collaboration skills
  • Proficient mathematical skills
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Solid attention to detail with consistent followthrough
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Aptitude for learning and adhering to existing standardized policies, processes and procedures
  • Committed to excellence and getting the job done
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, "client first" focus
