Main responsibilities:


The technician will perform window and door repairs according to Basco's main service offering (defogging, sealed unit replacement, caulking, weatherstrip and hardware repairs / replacement) at the clients' premises, using a service vehicle provided by the Company and according to a predetermined schedule.

(In no particular order, and non-exhaustive list)

  • Ensure the highest level of courtesy, professionalism and respect for our clients;
  • Perform window repairs services at clients' premises (glass sealed unit replacement, caulking, defogging, hardware repairs / replacement) as required on the work order;
  • Ensure cleanliness is maintained during and after completion of work;
  • Ensure safety work practices are maintained at all times;
  • Ensure payment is collected from client upon completion of work;
  • Drive service vehicle from client to client based on established client scheduling;
  • Give advice to clients on further window repair needs and provide estimates on cost of repairs;
  • Communicate with manager for further larger scope repair project estimates;
  • Maintain tools and work vehicle in an organized, clean condition at all times.
  • Manage parts inventory in service vehicle;
  • Distribute promotional material inbetween jobs when time allows it;
  • Any other tasks required by manager.

Equipment & Inventory:

Tools provided in service vehicle to be maintained in a clean, organized and functional condition at all times;
Parts inventory in service vehicle to be maintained in a clean, organized and functional condition at all times. Inventory must be replenished daily when applicable;
Service vehicle must be kept in clean condition and driven safely and courteously at all times. Maintenance needs, or damage to the vehicle must be reported immediately as they occur.


Decision level:

Must demonstrate high level of judgment in order to complete tasks and resolve occasional problems while performing field work in order to complete the work in a timely manner and according to the high quality standards set by Basco Calgary;
Must be able to work autonomously to accomplish most tasks;
Must respect Company's work procedures and safety standards

Must report incidents / problems to the Director


Work conditions:

Full time position (min 35 hrs per week), possibility of part-time


Scheduling is based on clients' requirements and may vary daily between 8am to 6:00pm between Monday to Friday, not exceeding 10 hours daily or 44 hours weekly.

Saturday work may be scheduled if desired

Pay rate based on experience and proven results while performing work

Service vehicle with required tools provided

Training provided

Job scheduling / monitoring tools provided
