Technology COO enables the transformation of Technology, Operations and Firm Resilience by establishing strategic objectives, leading with a clear strategic narrative and achieving results through the delivery of daytoday operations.

The Technology People Development (PD) team sits within the Technology Chief Operating Officer division.

The mission of Technology is to enable the Technology division to achieve outstanding results by delivering world class programs supporting their teams and strategic objectives.

The Technology organization provides centralized services for Governance Oversight, Strategic People Development, Workforce Strategy Planning and Implementation, and effective Communication and Team Engagement.

The Technology People Development Team offers Junior Talent Intake, Continuous Learning, and Career Enablement programming with associated operational and reporting support for the 25K+ people in the Technology organization.

We also strategically foster a world class learning culture supporting Morgan Stanley Technology team members to be their best. Initiatives managed by the team include Technology Intern and Analyst Programs, Transformation Center of Excellence (e.g. Agile, Cloud, Data, Dev Ops, AI ML, Automation, Innovation) and Technical Skills Training programs and single courses), Tech eLearning platforms, Learning Culture programs, Tech New Hire Orientation programs, Mobility and Mentorship programs, Professional Skills and Business Knowledge Training in the Americas, Training Operations and Reporting and associated supporting tooling. Our team of 30, located across the globe, also partner closely with Firmwide HR on a variety of Talent initiatives.

Position Description:

This role is a critical part of the Technology People Development Global Team.

We are seeking a learning and development specialist to:

Partner with senior IT managers, Distinguished Engineers, and other key stakeholders to design and develop strategic learning programs
Create Learning Paths for roles defined by the Job Architecture program and other organizational inputs
Support development, maintenance and rollout of new hire orientation technology training program
Partner with HR to ensure professional and business skills learning programs are rolled out globally
Assist with other Technology People Development initiatives, as required.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement global People Development Tech Skills Training solutions, including sharing and implementation of new and best practices.
Drive development of learning programs endtoend, including Needs Identification, Assessment, Curriculum Design, Development and Delivery of Learning Programs
Optimize delivery methods, including use of eLearning vendors, creating learning paths suited to the needs of Morgan Stanley Technologists
Assist in smooth, effective, and efficient execution of Transformation COE and Tech Skills training programs, and related internal and stakeholder reporting/ engagement.
Create and maintain sitesrelated to training and development programs
Create and support delivery of communications and marketing materials related to training programs
Manage selection of vendors, as required, for development and delivery of training programs based on need. May also have responsibility for managing vendors through development and delivery of training programs.
Support development, delivery, and maintenance of the Technology New Hire
Orientation Training Program (Orientation, MSDE MS Development Environment training, TNHOB protocols)
Partner with peers across the firm to learn/ share better practices

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:

7+ years of technology training design, development, and delivery experience
Experience with eLearning authoring tools (i.e., Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communications skills, in English
Track record of integrity, grit, flexibility, fortitude, positivity, wisdom, and compassion
Experience overseeing vendor management and contract negotiation
Experience with learning management systems as well as learning experience platforms
Comfortable working as a senior member of a global organization with team members, stakeholders, upper management, and clients in different regio
