MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ROTATING DAY, AFTERNOON, AND NIGHT SHIFTS (MONDAY-FRIDAY)
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Machine Operator, you will be trained to operate a range of different machinery in a productivity-oriented, fast-paced environment.
This position requires an individual who has a good working knowledge of wire rod and the physical properties of wire.
COMPENSATION
- $ per hour
- Additional premiums such as shift premiums ($0.65 $3.20 per hour)
- Incentive bonuses
HOURS OF WORK
Depending on your department assignment, you may work either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts. Please refer to the schedule provided below.
8-hour shifts
Week 1 & 2:
Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00AM -2:30PM
Week 3 & 4:
Night Shift - Monday to Friday, 2:30PM-10:30PM (
Shift Premium:
$0.70/hour)
Week 5 & 6:
Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday, 10:30pm - 6:00AM (
Shift Premium:
$0.65/hour)
This rotating three-week pattern repeats.
12-hour shifts
The position operates on a 7 Day/12 hour continuous shift rotation from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding and instilling department safety procedures into every day safe work practices.
- Accurate production testing and recording using the computerized production recording system.
- Ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Regularly meeting productivity goals.
- Accurate production recording and performance to schedule.
- Perform all required quality control tests and inspections.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Previous manufacturing experience in an industrial environment is considered an asset
- Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs
- Must have CSA approved steeltoed safety boots with nonslip sole
- Mechanically inclined
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Access to a readily available vehicle is preferred
- Sit down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift experience is considered an asset
- Overhead crane experience is considered an asset
