This is a manufacturing plant-based role located in Red Deer, AB at Proform's Precast Concrete Manufacturing facility, operating year-round.

The QA/QC Technician is responsible for preforming daily concrete inspections (pre-pour and post-pour), aggregate and concrete testing, record keeping, and other duties as required to meet specifications and PROFORM's Quality and Safety Standards.

Job Duties

Inspect concrete products for flaws or defects.
Concrete tests including slump, air, tempurature and strength.
Aggregate sieves and moistures.
Measure the accuracy of placement and layout of rebar or mesh cages against project blueprints.
Calibration of testing equipment to ensure it meets specification.
Review testing data to ensure products meet industry standards ASTM/CSA/CPCQA.
Fulfill documentation and reporting requirements for the Quality program.
Create reports of quality control tests and analyze the data to determine if any changes in the production process are necessary.
Maintain nonconformance reporting (NCR) system.
Develop performance improvement targets for quality, service, and efficiency.
Assist with audits.

Required Education and Experience

Diploma in Materials Testing Technology or 3years experience in concrete QA/QC activities.
Self‐motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
Positive team‐oriented attitude
Ability to meet company certification standards
