Description

Responsibilities Include:


  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Take accurate minutes of meetings
  • Develop and update administrative systems
  • Resolve administrative problems
  • Receive, sort and distribute the mail
  • Greet and assist visitors to the office

Qualifications include:


  • Proven admin or assistant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, listening and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Organizational skills
  • Multitasking skills and ability to be flexible when priorities shift
  • Extensive computer and software skills (MS Office, Word, Access, Excel and Publisher)
  • Health care experience, familiarity with medical terminology and Typing 50 wpm would all be considered assets
  • Completed High School education (MB GED standard) and Secretarial / Admin training program but a combination of education and experience may be considered
