Position

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Coordinator to join our team who consistently demonstrates initiative, a sense of pride in their work and professionalism. The Finance & Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Finance Lead, Senior Outsourcing Producer, legal team and collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze various financial data to ensure an organization's finances are in order and facilitate the full purchasing process.

Reporting

The Finance & Operations Coordinator will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the Finance Lead.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Contract Management: Prepare, review, and track contracts with vendors, freelancers, and partners; ensure timely execution and filing.
• Purchase Orders (POs): Create and manage POs, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and alignment with budgets.
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, coordinate payments, and maintain accurate records of payables.
• Month‑End Support: Assist with bank reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries; collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate month‑end reporting.
• Expense Reports: Coordinate employee expense submissions, review for compliance, and answer related questions.
• Corporate Credit Cards: Monthly reconciliations and submissions.
• Government Reporting: Submit GST/HST & QST, and tax instalments.
• Vacation Tracking: Maintain up‑to‑date records of employee vacation balances and approvals.
• Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial and operational reports as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in financial workflows and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or operations role (preferably in a creative or tech environment).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (accruals, journal entries, reconciliations).
• Bilingual.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the video game, entertainment, or tech industry.
• Familiarity with contract workflows or project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, or Notion).
• Enthusiasm for games and supporting creative teams
