Reporting to the Director, Pre-Construction Services the Proposals Manager will work closely with the senior management teams and operations within regional offices in developing and submitting proposals, leading marketing strategies and supporting business growth initiatives at Magil Construction Canada Inc.


Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end process for proposal development including coordination, planning, improvement, and creation.
Define and manage the proposal response plan, and internal communications associated with the proposal development.
Actively lead proposal strategy meetings
Lead brand control and communications within all regions of Magil Construction Canada
Contribute and collaborate to national communications efforts, content and strategy.
Participate in leadership meetings and offer strategic input from marketing and communications perspective.
Managing and reviewing sites for go no go jobs and bid opportunities
Translate company vision by providing advice and mentoring to direct reports.
Plan and deliver communication and social media strategies
Oversee see and manage performance evaluations for direct reports
Develop and submit annual spending budget for advertising and marketing.
Assess promotional opportunities for risks and return on investment.
Conduct market research on opportunities and support business development
Manage, plan, and inform team on proposal development and prequalification's for projects.
Communicate with media and industry organizations for events and company milestones.
Other tasks related to the position as assigned.
Collaborate with management and operations teams during RFI/RFP to manage and maintain the bid schedule, develop content and source material for submissions
Support efforts to monitor submissions against proposal best practices and industry standards.
Collection of data on client and projects schedules for Magil


Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or similar discipline
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Construction industry, Architecture or Engineering services preferred within the GTA
3 to 5 years of experience with Vendor record service agreements
Business development experience within the Construction industry is must
Professional technical writing experience
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe InDesign - AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Creative Suite and Photoshop
Experience with developing, scheduling, and managing proposals in construction professional services will be considered an asset
Previous experience working in the infrastructure support services industry is an asset
Exceptional business acumen and professional attitude
Experience in a team-oriented environment
Exceptional time management skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment and operate within tight deadlines
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Understanding of CCDC Documents will be an asset
Proficient using social posting platforms and software
Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, excluding statutory holidays
Travel may be required to regional offices and clients, based on business needs
Able to work remotely 1 day during the week
