About The Role
This is an entry level position in the Printing Press Department. Anyone with a great attitude who wants to grow their job into a career is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Safety is priority #1 at MCC Label
• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines
• Report all safety concerns or issues to immediate supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain a good attitude and be willing to learn
• Support MCC Label's commitment to excellence and respectful, professional interactions with all associates
• Review Production schedule for the next job to be printed
• Complete the ink sheet based on information from the docket
• Locate the required inks
• Put the proper ink in fountains of each unit needed for the job
• Assist the pressmen in removal and changing of plates and blankets
• Maintain ink fountains during the production run
• Help remove the printed skid from the press delivery and transfer to staging area
• Replenish and have available all press supplies such as rags and blanket wash
• Complete the Ink Usage sheet accurately and neatly
• Have a working knowledge of the feeder operation
• Understand the use and danger of all wash up chemicals
• Be fully competent and proficient on all presses in the facility
• Complete press maintenance procedures under the direction of the pressman
• Responsible for cleaning and trash management in the press area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Any experience in printing or manufacturing is a plus but not required
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, reach with arms and hands; talk and hear
• This position requires standing for long periods of time
• Occasionally the employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 70 pounds
• Hearing protection is required
