OPERATIONS LEAD to join our Production Team at our manufacturing plant in Puslinch, Ontario

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage daily production and manufacturing operations.
Coordinate the complete production and manufacturing of each project.
Collaborate with other departments to facilitate efficient manufacturing operations.
Lead shop scheduling and expediting.
Ensure adequate resources are in place to complete projects on time and on budget.
Interpret engineering drawings, designs and specifications.
Resolve technical issues on the shop floor.
Review equipment test plans and assist with equipment testing.
Ensure the profitability and sustainability of the production facility.
Manage and mentor the production team.
Recruit, train and retain top talent to improve the performance to the production team.
Ensure all employees have uptodate health and safety training and the facility is run in accordance with corporate and governmental health and safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years experience in heavy metal fabricating and large machine assembly.
5+ years experience in an operations management role.
Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree.
PEng. an asset.
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
Ability to understand engineering drawings.
Must be familiar with GD&T.
Experience in AutoCad/SolidWorks.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Project.
Proven and efficient scheduling methods.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

Location: 33 Kerr Crescent, Puslinch, Ontario

Full time position.

Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Extended Medical Benefits

Salary:
$90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

- steel fabrication: 10 years (preferred)

- manufacturing team management: 5 years (preferred)
