Business Development Executive, GTA, ON**

Al Safa is the largest North American Halal Food Brand. Our Focus is to empower Muslims to make time for their dreams by offering halal, guilt-free convenience foods. Based out of Mississauga, Canada we've been serving Muslims of North America for over 25 years with convenient foods.
In recent years we have expanded our portfolio from 20 to 60+ products and expanded into newer territories and customers.
Alsafa Products are available all across North America (USA & Canada) with retailers like Wal-Mart, No Frills, FreshCo, FoodBasics, ShopRite & also key ethnic retailers serving the Muslim Community.
General Summary
Achieve maximum profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively selling the company's products. Contacting and securing new business accounts while retaining and growing existing accounts.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Promoting/selling/securing orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationshipbased approach.
- Product Demonstration of existing and new products to current/potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Merchandizing Items in store to enable maximum viewability & improved appearance
DETAILS OF FUNCTION
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers & prospective customers in their assigned territory to increase current business & generate new business for the organization
- Conduct inperson visits and presentations to existing and prospective stores.
- Research sources for generating business via new customers and gathers information to determine their potential.
- Develops clear and effective written proposals &/or quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Ensure A/R collection and recovery of outstanding debts from stores
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinates sales effort with marketing, finance & logistics to avoid any delays.
- Analyzes the territory/market's potential on a regular basis to assess the worth of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
- Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities. Proposing custom plans based on customer profile.
- Create custom sales/marketing plans for individual stores where applicable to maximize sales
- Supplies management with written insights on customer needs, problems, interests & competitor activities, and potential for new products.
- Keeps aware of product competition, market conditions, competitor activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
- Participates in trade shows and conventions to promote Brand and Products.
REPORTING
- Reports directly to the Head of Sales

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess 35 years' experience in the CPG, Retail &/or Distribution
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, some college is preferred
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be Bilingual in English Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi/Gujrati an Asset
- Valid driver's license & Possession of own Vehicle
- Canadian Citizen/Resident
- Ability to Lift weight up to 20 Kgs
