Planning Analyst


Summary:


Reporting to the Planning & Analytics Manager, the Planning Analyst will make a positive contribution, enabling Griffith Foods Canada to continue to grow and operate in an effective, efficient and profitable manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Communicates all relevant matters pertaining to raw material levels, inventory and purchasing.
  • Identifies Raw Materials on hold (internally/externally) that are at risk of impacting production schedules.
  • Demonstrates a handson, solutions orientated approach to problem solving within a multifaceted, fast paced team environment.
  • Proactively generates and analyzes scheduled production orders for ingredient variances.
  • Responsible for updating system parameters to increase service levels.
  • Assists in preS&OP meetings to provide data and analysis as required.
  • Prepares Exposure Reports as required, providing data and analysis of disposals of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Prepare for monthly At-Risk Inventory and Loss of Inventory reports / presentation / meetings
  • Reviews expired raw materials & finished goods and presents analysis based on findings so that steps and action plans are put into place to avoid recurrence.
  • Participates and helps with the physical inventory as required (work may occur afterhours/weekends on a quarterly basis).
  • Manages raw materials Stocking Agreements
  • Manages Shrink Factor adjustments
  • Participates in processing/actioning new product launches as required
  • Leads formula substitutions process for Raw Materials
  • Processes MOQ requests from the finance department
  • Enters Cycle Count and Physical Inventory Count adjustments
  • Plays a significant role support the department migration to the new ERP system
  • Acts as backup for Material Analyst and Material Planner.
  • Solicits, generates, develops, and implements improvements to department processes and practices.
  • Completes all required documentation in a thorough manner, including data entry.
  • Acts as backup for Planning Analysts / Material Planner
  • Participates in special projects, other duties or tasks that may be assigned as required.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supply chain planning role
  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business is required
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, Data Analysis Tools
  • APICS certification is an asset
  • ERP system knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High learning agility to understand evolving challenges and complex sets of data
