    Role context


    Within a service center delivering various systems engineering activities for a major aerospace manufacturer, you will supervise all SII team deliveries within a "System Design Office" perimeter.

    The scope focuses on two main areas

    • Aircraft systems sustainability, covering upgrade projects on the current aircraft version: new feature integration, component obsolescence management, and improvements based on airline feedback. Domains include Flight Controls, Avionics, and Electrical.
    • New functions and architecture development for future major evolutions of the program, particularly in Aircraft Control and Avionics.

    Responsibilities


    Project planning and management

    • You create and update the project management plan in compliance with contractual documentation.
    • You ensure the deployment of project processes and tools, as well as EN9100 practices, acting as the Delivery Process Owner.

    Project organization

    • Use of internal project management tools (planning, risks, actions, workload).
    • Support, coaching and oversight of team leaders.
    • Deployment of project processes: newcomers onboarding, deliverables follow-up, reviews, etc.
    • Weekly reporting to the Project Director: risks, issues, opportunities, continuous improvement, capitalization, training needs, synergies or escalations.
    • Responsibility for overall delivery quality, including audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

    Financial follow-up

    • Monitoring of purchase orders and budget forecasts aligned with team capacity.
    • Support to the Project Director for margin forecast and follow-up.
    • Preparation and follow-up of DANs until invoicing.

    Daily project monitoring

    • Deliverables follow-up with team leaders.
    • Priority management with the Project Director.
    • Monitoring of Sub-tier activity progress.

    Customer coordination

    • Technical reporting during Monthly Technical Review Meetings.
    • Support during quarterly Steering Committees.

    Technical expectations

    • Experience in avionics is required.
    • Ideally, you have taken part in the full development cycle of an embedded system in commercial aviation, from requirements definition to certification.
    • A strong understanding of verification & validation, quality assurance, and the main rules of ARP4754 and DO-178C is required.
    • Experience working on complex programs involving multiple stakeholders (suppliers, design offices, QA, integration teams, simulator and flight test teams, certification bodies) is essential.
