About Us:
Frankor Hydraulics is a manufacturer of hydraulics cylinders, custom manifolds, and deep-hole drilling machines.
Working closely with our customer's engineering, R&D, and purchasing departments, we specialize in helping OEMs in a wide range of industries including, mining, forestry, material handling, oil & gas, construction, and agriculture.
We are currently looking for an experiencedQuality Inspector to join our team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform first off and receive inspections to ensure all products meet the specifications.
- Perform inprocess and final dimensional inspections, machining inspections, and weld inspections as required.
- Initiate Nonconformances (NC), and follow up for corrective actions (CA)
- Complete quality documentation as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure incoming and outgoing product quality.
- Investigate product/process quality issues and assist in initiating corrective actions.
- Training operators to perform inprocess inspections as required.
- Filing, preserving, and disposing of various Quality Records.
- Perform calibration for all measuring instruments affecting finished goods in the plant and maintain the calibration log.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; may be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Support implementation and maintenance of systems that support the overall quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Quality Assurance Program along with ASQ Certification preferred
Experience:
- 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Quality experience with CNC machining
- Quality experience Welding
Specific Skills, Ability and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge and experience with a range of measuring instruments i.e., verniers, micrometers (external/internal), height gauges, bore gauges etc
- Well proficient / Expertise in reading prints (drawings) for components and assemblies.
- Workable knowledge of GD&T and its basics. Able to use measuring instruments to verify the parts according to prints.
- Familiarity with ISO
- Proficient in computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Familiarity with CMM is an asset
