About This Opportunity:


Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital is currently seeking physicians interested in locum to permanent opportunities for coverage in the family practice, in-patient coverage and CEC emergency department as part of the group.

The call schedule for the emergency department is currently 1:6. Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital is based in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia and is a 40-minute drive from Halifax.


Opportunities to locum with the tri-facilities are available, these facilities include Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital and Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital in Sheet Harbour.

The incoming physicians do not need to live in the Musquodoboit region.
These positions are compensated through the CEC hourly rate. Musquodoboit and Eastern Shore are sites eligible for the current DHW incentive program.

There is no overhead charged for Emergency Department coverage. An incoming physician can expect to be welcomed by all staff in this site.


Qualifications:

- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physician must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)

The largest region in Halifax is predominately known for its outdoor adventure of cycling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking and camping.

In this region is also the picturesque Musquodoboit River, an outdoor enthusiast's haven. Running through the majority of the area, it is nearly 100 kilometres long, making it an ideal canoeing and kayaking location

The Musquodoboit region has hidden gems waiting to be discovered throughout the region (plus, North America's largest hummingbird sculpture).
