  • Reporting to the Director, Human Resources Ontario Region, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. The role of the Manager, HR is focused on strategic service delivery to support the day-to-day and long-term vision of the business. With primary responsibility for all areas of HR related compliance and strong oversight of policies, programs, technology solutions and operational functions, this leadership role is foundational to the overall success of HR. This role is a member of the Ontario Region HR Leadership Team and is expected to work collaboratively to drive a strategic HR agenda, as well as overseeing HR administration and day-to-day HR service delivery.
  • You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Create effective business cases and lead human resources related projects for the Ontario Region, applying change and project management best practices;
  • Analyze existing human resources processes, identify gaps and lead resolution projects;
  • Support Ontario Region HR through regularly participating in strategic meetings to understand and have valuable input into the short- and long-term strategic plan;
  • Implement and maintain compensation and benefits programs, including the consolidation and preparation of annual cyclical compensation plans, ensuring alignment and compliance with regional and corporate direction;
  • Ensure all employee and compensation information is readily available, current, and secured against unwarranted access and is communicated to the corporate office as required;
  • Prepare compensation analysis and proposals for salary and hourly employees, in line with joint collaboration committees and management requests;
  • Conduct job evaluations, compensation reviews and salary surveys to ensure compensation is consistent with Agnico Eagle's compensation strategy and framework;
  • Project management of new or enhanced HR systems, ensuring its capability to support the overall business strategy;
  • Develop, implement and monitor HR metrics and KPIs, identifying problem areas and proactively suggest solutions and strategies to impact trends and associated costs;
  • Preparation and consolidation of data for monthly, quarterly, and annual HR and sustainability reporting requirements;
  • Continuously develop and enhance the skill sets of the Human Resources Department through coaching and mentoring to ensure services provided across the site are carried out consistently well, and in a professional manner;
  • Promote a positive and energetic team atmosphere, and ensure that cross-training is completed between Human Resources personnel to provide a high quality service to stakeholders;
  • Establish a climate of trust, participation and fair application of policy and discipline;
  • Promote and maintain a results-driven, continuous improvement performance culture;
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective decision making;
  • Plan, organize and lead the work of direct reports and establish required standards to meet targets.
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study;
  • Based in Toronto or Timmins;
  • Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) or Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation preferred;
  • 10 years' experience in a Senior Human Resources role in a fully integrated human resources/business capacity;
  • Knowledge of the SuccessFactors Human Capital Management suite preferred;
  • 3 years' experience within the mining industry;
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural work environment;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • YOUR WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
