Description
The Manager of Nutrition and Engagement is a unique opportunity that combines health, wellness and sustainability with marketing.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager of Nutrition and Engagement is responsible for providing dietary guidance and support to customers, clients and staff while supporting all critical business initiatives including sales growth, market penetration, customer retention, quality image, improved margins and market share for Saint Mary's University.


Responsibilities:


  • Counsel students on healthy eating habits, and monitored nutritional status to improve quality of life in the university community
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure adherence to nutritional safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Supervise dietetic interns during administrative and community rotations
  • Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques that consider the varied needs of agespecific populations as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns
  • Facilitate sustainable menus by working with Management, Chef and Suppliers
  • Evaluate current product line and work with industry to source local and sustainable products in line with Aramark Sustainability program
  • Train Management Team and Front Line Associates on Aramark Sustainability Program
  • Maintain client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
  • Manage website, online menus and ecommerce products and promotions
  • Preform marketing research and data collection through surveys, campus mapping, focus groups, trend development and competitive pricing analysis
  • Development and execution of annual meal plan campaigns, including oral and written presentations, to various target groups
  • Manage social media and public relations campaigns and daytoday activities. Duties include online advocacy and promotion, writing editorial content for a variety of communication platforms, communityoutreach efforts, promotions, building local publication relationships, etc.

Qualifications:


  • Post-Secondary Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Licensed Registered Dietitian in good standing with NSDA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite required
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suites and web design an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; flexibility to meet unanticipated changes to work demands
  • Superior interpersonal skills; ability to managing relationships effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team to meet organizational objectives
  • Demonstrated credibility and discretion in handling confidential/sensitive information
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends as required
  • Position may involve light lifting, prolonged periods of sitting, and exposure to florescent lighting
