    We are currently looking for qualified Mark IV Tamper Operators across Canada. This job will require travel throughout multiple cities in your province with the possibility of other cities in your part of the country.

    Job Duties:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Tamper and Regulator operations, track alignment, and inspection
    • Responsible to conduct mechanical and safety inspections as required and perform necessary maintenance and repairs
    • Responsible for various administrative tasks in regards to production reports, timekeeping, etc.
    • Perform general labour with crew as required
    • Responsible to ensure compliance to all REMCAN and customer safety policies and procedures

    Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license and produce driver's abstract * Minimum 2 years' railway experience * Minimum 1 year Mark IV Tamper operator experience * Able to pass all required railway operating rules examinations * Ability to pass eRailSafe Canada certification * Able to pass pre-employment medical including screening for drugs and alcohol * Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams * Able to work various shifts as required, including weekends and night shifts * Able to work in various weather conditions all year round * Working knowledge of basic computer skills * First Aid and WHMIS are assets * Ability and willingness to travel to remote work locations as required
