You, as a Maintenance Technician will:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance and inspections as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems as well as installs heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities
Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
Respond to requests in a timely manner and with a professional and upbeat attitude
Ability to assess heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) and make necessary repairs/provide direction to resolution.
Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety
Perform on-call emergency procedures as required or as scheduled by your manager
Be knowledgeable of provincial, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance
Attend and participate in training programs as required by EDFS and local city and provincial jurisdictions
Provide superior customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Consistently maintain a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers, and the general public
Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Is this the right role for you?

Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
Strong knowledge in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry & electrical,
Strong computer skills for diagnosis and reference
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner Must be able to work any shift Sunday-Saturday to support the company's business needs
You have the ability to gather information, accurately assess issues, seek support and take direction as necessary.
You possess a valid driver's license
