The Battery Testing Specialist role will assist in the production of battery cells and will work closely with our technical and operation teams.
This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical, written and presentation skills who can successfully work within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the testing step on final battery cells produced by the operation team;
- Organize and document the data;
- Work with pilot line cross functional teams to analyze the data, perform failure mode analysis and provide necessary recommendation to the team;
- Assist the team in setting up and obtaining necessary quality and safety standards and certifications for final products such as UN38.3, UL1642 etc;
- Prepare status updates, reports, and make recommendations to the management;
- Keep abreast of new developments in battery testing technologies and make recommendations to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical/Electrochemistry/Electronics or similar engineering field;
- Internship or minimum of two years of experience in an industrial company;
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrochemistry and/or electric circuitry and electrical risks;
- Familiar with root cause and corrective action methodologies;
- Experience with product development, validation, and safety;
- Experience with battery cell testing;
- Skilled in data presentation, communication, problem solving, critical thinking. Ability to effectively communicate project needs, challenges, decisions, and propose solutions;
