is actively seeking an
International Student Services Coordinator to join our team at the
Toronto South West campus located on Bloor and Dundas.


Primary
Purpose:


The primary purpose of the International Student Services Coordinator is to ensure the effective delivery of support services to all international students on campus.

The Coordinator will have to coordinate services with campus staff, community partners and volunteers, and meet with students to help them effectively access the services and support that they require.


The Coordinator will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain regular communication with students before and during travel, and upon arrival to Canada.
  • Plan and coordinate student predeparture information sessions, working with education partners.
  • Work with the Campus Director to coordinate the peer assisted learning program, as well as professional tutoring programs with faculty.
  • Manage the process to ensure that international students receive their health insurance cards and are aware of the health insurance coverage.
  • Refer students to qualified thirdparty professional resources for questions regarding study permits, work permits and immigration matters.
  • Effectively communicate to students the services available to them, how they can access the services, and assist students with accessing them when required.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with Campus Director and/or other Management.
  • Assisting students in accessing systems such as the student web and Brightspace.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • College diploma in a related field is preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12 years of administrative work experience in education or a comparable educational environment.
  • Experience coordinating group activities or events.
  • Understanding of current educational environment.
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working with students or young adults is an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

Hours of Work:

The hours for this position will be 10:00 am-7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.


Start Date:

The scheduled start date for this opportunity is
immediate.


Location:

This position will operate from the Toronto South West campus,
located on Bloor and Dundas.
