    We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join BrokerLink and work out of one of our offices in Alberta, Ontario, or Atlantic region on a Permanent FT Basis.

    Reporting to National Learning & Development coordinating and providing employees in the branch with training with respect to systems, workflows, product knowledge, customer service, and other skills necessary. Supporting branch and region to fill training gaps. Supporting BrokerLink Academy programs at the branch level in hands on training.

  • What the Role Entails:

  • Training brokers in a hands on environment on personal insurance EPIC workflows, insurance product, customer service, portals, and other necessary skills. This includes developing, creating, implementing, and facilitating training programs for new and existing employees in alignment with other provincial, national, and corporate objectives.
  • Liaising and collaborating with other training professionals, Managers, and Team Leads to develop training and training materials consistently across all regions as required.
  • Participating in various Learning & Development initiatives to provide training on both a local and wider scale.
  • To be in alignment with various corporate and distribution departments to support them to achieve their objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with BrokerLink employees at every opportunity.
  • Collaborating effectively with other Trainers to exchange ideas, information, and experience.
  • Performing training assessments to evaluate participants' learning. Reporting to Management any deficiencies in skills/knowledge, demonstrated by learners, that may impact job performance. Conducting post-training evaluation of participants' application of new skills and knowledge.
  • Maintaining new and existing training materials, supplies and equipment. Maintaining records on completed training programs.
  • The Successful candidate will have:

  • Post Secondary Education
  • 3 years experience in the industry
  • Experience in EPIC, MS Office, PowerPoint, Insurer Portal Use, various program delivery platforms.
  • Insurance license an asset
  • Advanced understanding and use of PI Epic processes and workflows
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Sales skills
  • Experience as a Personal Insurance Advisor or Commercial Insurance Advisor
  • Various facilitation and teaching skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
