We operate the newest fleet of modern trailer amenities in the Canadian tank sector and are routinely recognized as one of the safest fleets in North America.

We are looking for some who effectively communicate instructions and listen to all driver concerns and act appropriately as they relate to:

  • Safety
  • Drivers' ability to perform their duties effectively
  • Opportunities that would increase efficiency for both the Company and the customer
  • Dispatch drivers using a fair and consistent approach
  • Effectively communicate with customers with regards to load assignments and updates. Including updating specific carrier TMS portals with correct arrival and departure times
  • Support the coordination of the daily assignment of company and contracted equipment to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Support the scheduled servicing of equipment as required with the shop personnel.
  • Support the organization of trailer interior washes and these costs are managed appropriately.
  • Record orders in the dispatch management system in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met and any changes or deviations are communicated immediately to the customer and other pertinent parties
  • Bring any service failures to the attention of the customer service department and your direct manager

Education, Training and Experience

  • Post-Secondary education from a college or University with a transportation program preferred or,
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in the trucking industry in a support role.

Supervisory & Management Responsibility
As Dispatch/Customer Service Coordinator, you will be responsible to:

  • Communicate and help support dispatching drivers while following policies, procedures of the company.
  • Report to Manager of Dispatch Operations on deviations, recommendations for change.
  • Liaise between Customer, Dispatch and Driving Force to communicate issues and find solutions.
  • Any other responsibilities necessary to perform the tasks of the position as outlined by Senior Management from time to time.

Working Conditions

  • The location of the job is currently at the Connell Transport yard in Hamilton but may change in time as determined by Management of the company.

From $45,000.00 per year
